Tal'daros Stalemate!
The Red Storm Pact and Tal'daros Imperial Legion have clashed again this month, but just like last there are no major casualties reported by either side. The Red Storm Pact's promises of a new world order are still unrealized, with their position growing more tenuous every day. When the Imperial Legion was asked for comment on the situation, here's what Legate Riev had to say.
"The terrorists that call themselves the 'Red Storm Pact' must surely realize soon that the Legion is just better equipped, better disciplined, and have the backing of the people. I'm confident that within the next few months the Pact will cease these pointless quarrels that waste resources and get nothing done. They know they can't hurt us. So why bother trying?"
With the continuing lack of successful attacks by either side of the conflict, will attrition bring down the Red Storm Pact? Will the people of Tal'daros finally rally to the Pact's banner? We'll be sure to bring you an update next month, this time with an interview of one of the Pact's lieutenants, Vernon Joss.
New Religious Movement on Inrian!
Early this month, a new religious movement was officially founded on Inrian, calling themselves the Bright Star Christians. Stating that they have rediscovered a Christian holy book lost to the stars, they believe they know the way to achieve a, "Brighter future among the stars," and that it will be only a matter of time before more flock to their banner. Observers of the situation have noted that the organization is currently limited to Inrian only, and questions how Bright Star will spread their message. We approached Bishop Aines, one of their more prominent members, to see how he would answer this question.
"It is true that we are at the moment limited to spreading the message on Inrian, but rest assured that many have already decided to support our movement, rightfully so, and we expect that we'll soon have enough funding to organize for our missionaries to leave the planet in mass, and head to the worlds that need it most. The brightest stars shine on us, and if God wills our success, it shall be so."
Zydor Pilgrimages at All-Time High!
The planet Zydor, famous for being an Alessian holy world, has recently reached an all-time high of pilgrim numbers. Not just Alessians, but many humans are traveling to the world, the Tiri faith becoming more popular every day with the humans of Hades Theta. For those not in the know, Zydor has a long and complicated history beginning before the Scream.
Before the Scream, Zydor was mostly inhabited by Alessians, being full of holy sites for their religion, though there was a slowly growing human population. When the Scream hit, the Alessians died out and the humans didn't, surviving in the various temples and cities, which slowly were destroyed by the passage of time. The humans began to worship the Alessian ruins, which is the situation the world was in when the Alessians rediscovered it. Now, the world is being recolonized, and is a major pilgrimage site for the Alessian faith, as even some Miijoth sects are providing support for the world. With recent numbers, it would appear the world is only becoming more popular.
Upstart Company Challenges Valdez Enterprises!
Everyone in Hades Theta knows Valdez Enterprises, the sector's leading supplier of ships and electronics, but not many know the Nightfall Syndicate, a recently established corporation acting out of Nedroth. The company has not yet revealed much about their specialties, simply stating that they intend on providing all manner of items the sector needs, in competition with Valdez. They've openly announced this competition, stating that, "A little friendly rivalry is good for business, and for the people." While it's true that monopolies tend to hurt the customers more than the companies, many are worried that this competition could get heated, and damage civilians, as conflicts so often tend to do. A PR representative from Nightfall Syndicate issued a statement intending to ease concerns.
"The Nightfall Syndicate's primary interest is in offering alternatives to people that might be tired of the mundane options available to them. While the Syndicate is of course prepared to defend itself, we hope that Valdez Enterprises will not fall to such petty measures to keep their monopoly over the system secure."
